Turns Out Convicted Felons CAN Vote!

Leave it to rapper "T.I." to find a loophole in Election Law.

Best-selling hip-hop star T.I. initially thought he would be required to forfeit his voting privileges due to his status as a convicted felon, but T.I. turned up an obscure Georgia law that states felons are eligible to vote as long as they’re not "currently serving probation or physically in prison."  And a representative from the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office has confirmed it: Felons can vote!

Well, at least we can all sleep at night. Whew.

With legal loophole in hand, T.I. headed out to the polls in suburban Atlanta on Wednesday to cast his vote.

Donning an “I’m a Georgia Voter” sticker on his black outlaw vest (Georgia must be so proud...), T.I. reportedly “signed autographs and took photos with several fans who were stunned to see the Grammy-winning artist in line to vote.”

Stunned probably doesn’t even begin to describe it.

T.I. was charged with a felony after attempting to purchase automatic weapons earlier this year, adding to several other previous Federal felony firearms offenses.  Hey, at least the guy supports the Second Amendment, right?

I suppose the moral of the story is that you, too, can be a convicted Felon and still have the right to vote.  Only in America.

I guess T.I.’s songs are right….you really can have “whatever you like…”
