California Unemployment Rate hits 8.2%

California's Unemployment Rate hit a whopping 8.2% this week.

Yet, no word from Governor Schwarzenegger on how he plans to revitalize California's economy.

Instead, the Governator is pushing a massive tax increase of at least $5 Billion and imposing new global warming mandates on businesses that are sure to drive more employers out of state.  Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but there is a HUGE disconnect going on here.

The California Republican Party rightfully condemned the Governor and his proposal to raise taxes during this economic downturn.  And that is coming from someone who does not always agree with the Party.  The CRP Board voted overwhelmingly 14-2.  (I can guess who the holdouts were.)  The Party should bbe commended for standing up for the California taxpayer - a beaten and bruised figure during the Schwarzenegger regime.
