Kerns Appointed to County Commission

Napa County, CA --- K Street Communications, Inc. announced today that founder/president Jennifer Kerns has been appointed to the post of County Commissioner for the Napa County Library System.

As a member of the County Commission, Kerns oversees Public Library operations, after-school Tutoring programs, Building operations, and Fundraising.  Kerns was appointed by the Mayor and unanimously approved by the City Council.  She reports to the County Board of Supervisors.

β€œIt is a pleasure to serve the County and to help local government work more efficiently for the People,” said Kerns.  β€œI am following in the tradition of my mother who was a librarian, and carrying on the legacy of literacy from the Pi Beta Phi Foundation, which instilled in me a lifetime commitment to public literacy.”

Kerns is the owner of the Sacramento-based K Street Communications, a political and public relations consulting firm specializing in public affairs, government relations, copywriting, media relations, and crisis communications.  An avid linguist, Kerns is language-trained in: Spanish, French, Farsi and Arabic.
