Miss Cali-Porn-ia?

The Street was the only political blog (other than the Huffington Post) to critique former Miss California Carrie Prejean for not “walking the walk” with her Christian Conservative values after the news of her sex video came out.

As a result of that post, I received a lot of guff from friends of Carrie for posting the story, stating it was a one-time mistake that we should forget.

Now?  A fellow blogger tipped us off to The New York Daily News report over the weekend which cites that  RadarOnline.com has reportedly uncovered seven – count ‘em, seven – more sex videos made by Prejean.  And, as if that wasn’t enough, a reported additional 30 nude photos, taken by Prejean herself standing in front of a mirror, have also surfaced. The content is too unsavory to mention here, but you can read the full story for details: www.nydailynews.com/gossip/2009/11/13/2009-11-13_former_miss_california_carrie_prejean_made_7_other_sex_tapes_dozens_of_nude_pics.html .

A report this morning also says that the Porn company Vivid Entertainment, apparently the world’s largest adult entertainment company, plans to release at least one of Prejean's videos : entertainment.oneindia.in/hollywood/top-stories/scoop/2009/vivid-carrie-prejean-tape-161109.html

The additional tapes prove what we have said all along, which is that there is a true importance of walking the walk.  In a matter as serious as Prop. 8, credibility on morality was and still is of the utmost importance.  When one person – namely, the face of the pro-Prop. 8 movement – is admittedly involved in scandalous sexual activity, it hurts the entire cause.

In my opinion, the only way the former Miss California can redeem herself (other than going away) is - instead of touring the country on a self-promoting book tour - rather, travel the country speaking to young girls about the importance of values, and further, the impact of mistakes which will ultimately only hurt them (and the causes they get involved in) in the future. Now, that is a topic that our youth needs to hear.  That is a book I’d like to read.
